Trolleybus communication as one of the alternatives to modern public transport

Abstract

The article presents an alternative means of public transport such as a trolleybus as an example of an ecological vehicle. Three still functioning trolleybus systems in Poland were discussed, with reference to rolling stock, as well as investments that were implemented to develop trolleybus lines. The subject of environmental and economic benefits resulting from the exploitation of trolleybuses in relation to bus and tram communications was also discussed.
