The article presents a descriptive and reflective analysis of selected online tools incorporating artificial intelligence (AI), which have proven useful in developing productive language skills, i.e. speaking and writing, among future primary school teachers. Drawing on classroom experiences from the Didactics of Teaching English courses at the University of Radom (Poland) and the University of Oviedo (Spain), the authors illustrate how AI-based applications such as Voki, Flipgrid, Five Cards Flickr Stories, and a meme generator were used by student teachers to create engaging and pedagogically sound activities. Rather than conducting an empirical study with data collection, this article offers a practice- based account of how these tools were integrated into teacher education and discusses their perceived effectiveness, potential benefits, and pedagogical alignment with current educational theories. The collaborative initiative highlights the opportunities and challenges of incorporating AI into language teacher training at early educational stages.
