Abstract

The article presents problems related to the design, construction and operation of isothermal and refrigeration bodies. The structure, materials and technology of modern isothermal and cooling bodies are discussed. Numerous examples of causes of structural errors made by designers, technological mistakes made by employees during the manufacturing process and exploitation made by users of isothermal and refrigeration bodies are discussed. Mistakes made at various stages of the production process or use result in an increase in heat losses of the refrigeration bodies, increase in the refrigeration unit operating costs (fuel and service), increase in CO2 and NOx emissions to the atmosphere, deterioration of the transported food and other products. The effects of mistakes made - an increase in heat loss - can be quantitatively and qualitatively tested. To illustrate the effects of errors made at various stages of production and use, the example thermal imaging material of constructional, technological and operating heat bridges [1], [2] was quoted.
