Abstract

VDL Bus and Coach has presented new generation of Futura 2 coaches  on June 2018, 8 years after premiere of the first generation. Since that, Valskenwaard factory has been left by 3500 vehicles, which makes 8,5% share of european touristic buses market. Almost 250 buses are used by polish carriers, with FHD2-129 as the most poppular model. However, Futury 2 technical parameters are still satisfying, VDL decided on the next step in order to optimalize eksploatation costs TCO and reducing environmental influence. Drive system has been improved, what is more weight of vehicle has been reduced. As a result, has been increased reliability and fuel usage has been reduced by 3,5% in comparison to previous generation.
